Hi Shirley,

Sounds like a great book and a fun project. I wish you the best of luck. I'll spread the word amongst my female friends who might want to add their stories.

I think the fifties were the best times to live in. I'm also writing a book about women fifty and over who have found things to do in life, and who believe that life begins at fifty. If there are women here who would like to share a story about perhaps starting over, starting a new business, learning to do something you hadn't done in life yet such as riding a motorycycle, mountain climbing, getting married instead of sitting in a rocking chair, I'd love to include it. This book will share stories of women who believe that there is life after fifty and they will enjoy it to the end. If you'd care to be part, email me at sdicks@blomand.net Visit my web site to learn more.

I know they say every generation is worth living in but i just don't see how anything could top the 60's. I'm 20, stuck with average music and people with little to no desire to protest or go on crazy adventures.
Your stories rock, keep them coming

Bill- what a frickin' great tale. Dredges up a bunch of sweet-smelling memories. I'm amazed half of us didn't die getting thru that era. What a testament to good fortune.

Great story!
Reminds me of my own sojourn to the Haight -- back in the 60's. Thank goodness for the Diggers. They kept me fed. Me and many others who were there at that great time in history.
